Ed Paschke

Ed Paschke was an American painter of Polish descent. He was inclined toward representational imagery, but he learned to paint based on the principles of abstraction and expressionism. Unlike most of his Pop predecessors with their embrace of popular culture, Paschke gravitated towards imagery that exemplified the underside of American values. Like many Chicago artists, he had a fondness for Outsider art.
